CCNA certified… ;)

It’s been a while since the last post. I’ve been very busy – at the end of August, I’ve passed my CCNA  exam :) , and now I’m on my way to the next level – CCNP.

Journey through the basics of computer networking was amazing. Cisco Networking Academy definitely opened up new possibilities for my career development. CCNP here I come ;) .

    @Rahul

Thank you for your comment, Rahul.

I fully recommend that you try to find the nearest Cisco Networking Academy and sign up for the CCNA program.
Believe me, you will get the best possible help and study materials. I think this is the best approach for passing the CCNA exam.

If you are self-studying, I recommend that you read the following book:

CCNA Official Exam Certification Library (CCNA Exam 640-802) by Wendell Odom
    Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Official-Certification-Library-640-802-Guide/dp/1587201836/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222190031&sr=8-1

The most interesting web sites that I’ve used often while preparing for the CCNA exam are:

    1. The Cisco Learning Network: https://cisco.hosted.jivesoftware.com/
    2. PacketLife cheatsheets: http://www.packetlife.net/cheatsheets/
    3. Cisco Subnet at NetworkWorld: http://www.networkworld.com/subnets/cisco/
    4. Wendell Odom’s Blog at NetworkWorld: http://www.networkworld.com/community/odom
    5. Video training Jeremy Cioara – CCNA CBT nuggets: http://www.cbtnuggets.com/webapp/product?id=410
    6. CCNA Exploration Curriculum info: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/netacad/course_catalog/CCNAexploration.html

Probably the best way to prepare for the CCNA exam is to combine all of the above.
Let me know if you need anything else. I wish you luck.

    Cheers,

    Sasha

I forgot to mention the excellent NetworkWorld’s post “20 useful sites for Cisco networking professionals”:
